Join us at Smith’s Farm Market and Garden Center this fall for a new series of casual, informative Garden Talks with Tom! Designed to help you feel more confident creating and caring for your landscape.

Every Saturday morning at 11 am throughout the fall, we’ll gather for an informal talk covering practical gardening and landscaping tips you can actually use at home.

These talks will be led by Tom, one of our knowledgeable garden center associates here at Smith’s. Tom has over 50 years of hands-on gardening experience. His passion lies in creating vibrant, thriving landscapes, with a deep specialization in understory trees, shrubs, perennials, and bulbs. Whether you are looking to revitalize a shaded garden bed or select the perfect seasonal blooms, he loves sharing his decades of knowledge to help your garden grow!

Our first talk will be all about why Fall is the perfect time to plant trees and shrubs. We will focus on planning before you plant, smart plant selection and design, and step by step installation and establishment.

And remember: Fall is for planting! Cooler temperatures and favorable growing conditions make fall a wonderful time to plant trees and shrubs and give them a head start before the heat of next summer.

The talks are free and open to everyone, whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting started. We’ll keep things relaxed, practical and easy to understand. We’ll also have special coupons and offers for those who attend.
